Privacy policy

DataPace ("we", "us") is a UK-based custom API integration practice. This page explains, plainly, what data this site collects, why, how long it's kept, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

If you use the contact form: your first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), message, and which services you've ticked as of interest. Submitting the form requires you to confirm you're happy for us to store these details to respond to your enquiry.

Server logs: standard web server request logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamp, page requested) kept for security and debugging.

We don't run user accounts, take payments, or store form submissions in a database - a submission is sent as an email and lives in our inbox from that point on, kept under normal business email retention.

Who processes it

  • Resend – sends the enquiry notification and the acknowledgement email you receive after submitting the form.
  • Google reCAPTCHA – spam protection on the contact form. Google sets its own cookies and processes some data (such as your IP address) for this; see Google's own privacy policy for details.
  • Google Analytics – usage analytics, only if you accept it in the cookie banner. See the Cookies section below.
  • Our web hosting provider – hosts the site and its server logs.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, via Google Tag Manager, to see how this site is used. It does not run until you accept it in the cookie banner - before that, Google's Consent Mode keeps it in a cookieless state that doesn't identify you. You can accept or reject it at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer, and your choice is remembered in your browser (localStorage), not a cookie.

Google reCAPTCHA, used on the contact form to block spam, sets its own cookies as part of its check - this runs regardless of your analytics choice, as it's necessary for the form to work securely. The accessibility widget (bottom-left of every page) also stores your display preferences in localStorage; these never leave your browser.

We don't set any cookies directly ourselves, and nothing else on this site tracks you.

How long we keep it

Contact form enquiries: kept as email correspondence for as long as it's relevant to an active or prospective engagement, then deleted. Server logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes, then rotated out.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@datapace.co.uk and we'll respond within 30 days. If you think we've mishandled your data, you can also complain to the ICO.

Updates

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date below.
